Real Surrealism! (And the rabbit said…)
I just saw this clip posted at boingboing. Your moment of real surreality for the day. This is truly priceless.
(Background: A woman accused (and most likely guilty, it seems) of cyberstalking was interviewed by a local news station. I feel kinda bad for the reporter because it looks sorta like he was blindsided. At first, I thought he was just too aggressive, and this woman was great, but after a little follow up, it sounds like she actually invited him. But I wouldn’t put it past her competitor to have invited the reporter. Either way, this seems like a great response to overly aggressive reporters. )
The voice, the lack of genuine facial expression, the inability to acknowledge the reporter’s actual questions, etc. are all so great. But the best, I think, is when she takes off the rabbit head and there’s another mask underneath. It wasn’t surprising; it was just so perfect.
So you’ve got 10 minutes before the reporters show up, and you don’t want to talk, but you can’t get away. What do you do? What character do you take on? What answers do you give regardless of the questions? How do you cleverly hide?
