Here’s a video of Michael Vasta, one of my students, showing off his ink at his conference with me. We’re supposed to be talking about his paper, but… I’ve always had a weird preoccupation with clowns, and I’m currently stewing over another tattoo, so I had to ask.
No way I’m getting anything that complicated. I’ve already got a tattoo of one of my pottery brushmarks, but I’ve got the bug, and I want another one. This next one’s gonna be related somehow to binary code and the birth-death dates of my parents (I think). Definitely binary code, though.
Do any of you have tattoos? Can you post a pic or a link to a pic? Or what’s the next tat you’re getting? Do you have one you regret?
That’s a great clip, T.
Here’s a link to a picture of Joan of Arc’s shield, which is what inspired my fleur de lis. She had two–standing for the angels of justice and mercy. At some point, perhaps I’ll get another one on my right hip–with a sword pointing up, only instead of toward the crown of heaven, toward a sacred heart, if I’m ever bold enough for that.

I love your interview style by the way. I’m jealous!
My Flipvideo camera came yesterday. Can’t wait to use it. This clip looks and sounds great!
So what’s your first interview gonna be? I carry mine around with me everywhere (along with a still camera and my mobile phone). I’ve interviewed several people before, but it’s really tough to get people comfortable enough to actually say something interesting, and sometimes it can be a buzz kill if the people around you aren’t totally into it. I’m looking for any advice you might be able to offer about good techniques. I think this thing should be just perfect for your flash interviews. I’ll wait to see what I can learn from you!
